The Request

A law firm in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, contacted us through our website about lunch boxes for its free lunch day, held twice a month, when lunch is given to staff free of charge.

Our Delivery

A filling lunch box

The client wanted a generous lunch with at least one sweet bread. The box had egg and tuna sandwiches, a basil-bacon sandwich on pumpkin-bread French toast, a pepper-ham and cheddar sandwich on a multigrain English muffin and a berry bagel with cream cheese, plus a sausage croissant and fried chicken. We first planned a salad but, after discussion, changed it to two scones (Uji matcha chocolate and tea-orange). The box measured 23 × 13 × 8 cm.

A photo menu for the staff sign-up

The firm collects staff requests before deciding the number, so we fixed the menu and sent it with photos before their survey. The final number — 47 — was confirmed four days before delivery.

A weather check the day before

A typhoon was expected to affect the delivery day, so the day before we sent the driver's details along with a note about road conditions, and on the day we left Yokohama with extra time. In the morning we sent photos of the finished boxes and the menu, then handed the boxes over at the building's driveway.
